Exception?

CNN has an article asking if women should be paid for eggs harvested for stem cell extraction.

My first question is why anyone would trade half their reproductive capacity for fertility treatments. This article cited a British doctor as proposing such a plan. It's highway robbery. A woman should be compensated by getting half the income of any procedure that uses the derivatives of her cells. Yes, paying for this kind of body part is an exception, but the use that such cells will have is also exceptional.

In the US, companies have managed to copyright the cells taken from patients. That is robbery, as well. This kind of thing should be stopped before it becomes a norm for the stem cells from eggs to garner bonanzas for developers while leaving donors out.
